Trophies
February 8, 2026. It's Super Bowl Sunday, and tonight, one team will win the Lombardi Trophy. In today's message Pastor Rodney will speak about how God turns brokenness into victory. Using the story of Gideon, we will see that God isn’t impressed by our trophies, strength, or accomplishments, but by humility and trust. Even in weakness, we are trophies of Christ’s victory, living proof that what God restores is always better than before.

First Things First W4
February 1, 2026. In week 4 of our First Things First series, we see how life piles on burdens—our own and those we carry for others. Today, we’re reminded that God never intended for us to carry burdens alone. By looking at how Jesus withdrew to pray and refused to be crushed by urgency, we learn how to bear one another’s burdens without being buried by them. In a world marked by constant crisis and compassion fatigue, discover the freedom, peace, and trust that come from releasing every burden to God and receiving His strength in return.

First Things First W3 // Pastor Rodney Cannon // Ridge Community Church
January 25, 2026. In week 3 of our First Things First series, we discover how prayer is meant to be a two-way conversation, not just a list of requests. We will see the importance of listening for God’s voice through Scripture, His people, dreams, and open and closed doors. Using the story of young Samuel in 1 Samuel 3, we’re reminded that God still speaks—and that the closer we draw to Him, the clearer we can hear. Learn how to quiet distractions, stay anchored in God’s Word, and live with a heart that prays, “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.”

First Things First W2 // Pastor Rodney Cannon // Ridge Community Church
January 18, 2026. In week 2 of our First Things First series, we explore four powerful elements of prayer: praise, purification, presenting yourself, and experiencing His presence, through the imagery of the Tabernacle and the finished work of Christ. Be encouraged to move beyond prayer paralysis and step into a deeper, more personal encounter with God.

First Things First W1 // Pastor Rodney Cannon // Ridge Community Church
January 5, 2026. Today is the first Sunday of 2026, and in this message, we look at the life of Daniel to discover the power that comes when prayer is combined with fasting. From Daniel’s faithfulness in exile to his supernatural encounters and answered prayers, Scripture reveals how fasting humbles us, sharpens our spiritual clarity, and prepares us for battles we don’t even see coming!

Make Room W3 // Pastor Rodney Cannon Ridge Community Church
December 28, 2025. As we close our Make Room Christmas series, this message focuses on true peace—not the temporary, circumstance-based peace the world offers, but the unconditional peace found in Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Through Isaiah 9, John 14:27, and Philippians 4:6–7, we learn that real peace isn’t found in turning life on autopilot or escaping trouble. It’s found by intentionally making room for God’s presence, even in the middle of chaos. This sermon highlights three kinds of peace God offers: Peace with God Peace within Peace with others As we move beyond Christmas and toward a new year, discover how living in God’s presence leads to lasting peace—because Jesus is the Prince of Peace.

Make Room W2 // Pastor Rodney Cannon // Ridge Community Church
December 21, 2025. Through the story of Rahab and the scarlet cord, we see that hope often requires waiting and trusting God’s promises, even when the outcome and timing are unknown. Personal testimony and the Christmas story reveal that God works through humble beginnings and painful moments to accomplish His perfect plan. This Christmas, we are called to make room for hope, cling to God’s promises, and trust that He always answers prayer—according to His wisdom and love. Jesus is our hope. Hold on to the scarlet cord.
