Ridge Community Church (formerly Dundee Church of God) has been a cornerstone of faith in our community since 1966. Founded by Rev. John L. Livingston with just 13 members, the church’s journey has been one of growth, transformation, and deepening faith. The original property on 623 Dundee Road was purchased during Pastor Livingston’s leadership, and since then, we’ve expanded and renovated to better serve our community.

In 2002, a new sanctuary and office spaces were dedicated, creating a modern space for worship and connection. Over the years, our name has evolved—from Dundee Church of God to New Horizon Church of God, and finally, to Ridge Community Church—reflecting our mission to reach not just the town of Dundee but the entire Ridge area.

We’ve been blessed with amazing pastors throughout the years. In 1990, Rev. Kirby Thompson took the lead and continued to build the church, even overseeing the purchase of land for our new sanctuary. After serving for nearly 50 years, Pastor Thompson retired in 1997, passing the torch to his son, Rev. Steven D. Thompson, who faithfully led us until 2018.

In 2019, we welcomed Pastor Rodney Cannon, his wife Lindsey, and their five wonderful children into our church family. Together, we’re committed to continuing the legacy of faith, family, and community that has defined Ridge Community Church for over five decades.
