Steve Thompson is senior pastor at Ridge Community Church of God. Pastor Steve started his ministry in Okeechobee, Florida, in 1980, as Youth and Music Pastor. In 1986, he went to Lakeland, Florida, to become Minister of Music at West Lakeland Church of God.
 Pastor Steve came to Ridge Community Church in August of 1992 as the Music Pastor and assistant to his father, Rev. Kirby Thompson. Upon his father's retirement in 1997, Pastor Steve took over as Senior Pastor. In 2002, the church completed new sanctuary and office facilities, which enabled Ridge Community to double in attendance.
Pastor Steve's vision for the ridge area is from cradle to grave. Daycares, educational programs, and senior assisted facilities are in the vision for the future at Ridge Community. Becoming community active is the goal at Ridge Community. Pastor Steve enjoys seeing people grow in their spiritual walk as they are taught the Word of God.
Pastor Steve and Teresa have 4 children: Nathan, Celeste, Steven, and Meagan. The family has grown in recent years, too . Steven has a new wife, Arhmin. Nathan and Kristin now have two girls, Haley & Maddison.
